Sophie Mol sings because it’s the thing she’s always known how to do. Growing up in the Netherlands, she sang around the house as a kid, then found her way onto stages around the world, same instinct, just louder.
At twelve, Sophie started working with vocal coaches, and she never really stopped developing her sound, her technique, her stage presence. Over the years she’s sung with a rotating cast of bands and projects, some of it original material. These days she fronts her own cover band, playing pop, soul and R&B.
Sophie trained at the Havo voor Muziek en Dans in Rotterdam between 2010 and 2013. Then, in 2016, she qualified as a beauty therapist — a detour, in hindsight. Music kept pulling at her, so she packed up and moved to Aruba, where she spent a year working as a professional singer and entertainer
Aruba stuck. Sophie still goes back regularly to perform, including at Bugaloe Beach Bar, and over the years she’s built real relationships there — with the island, its musicians, its audiences.
Now she performs internationally: weddings, dinners, corporate events, private celebrations, festivals. Sometimes with her band, sometimes with other musicians, sometimes stripped down to something more intimate. Either way, she reads a room fast and adjusts.
In 2023, Sophie sold her beauty salon, Momentje ik, and left it behind. What followed was Reiki, personal development, and something she calls Voice Liberation. She started Reiki training in 2024, then began her Voice Liberation education in 2025.
That work has reshaped how she thinks about vocal coaching. For Sophie, singing was never just about hitting the right note. Your voice is a reflection of who you are.
Through her coaching and Voice Liberation work, Sophie helps people connect with their voice, their confidence, their own way of expressing themselves — technique paired with freedom, awareness, and a fair amount of emotional honesty. Her mission, put simply: help people find their voice, and give them the courage to use it.
